As mentioned in a recent blog post, this year’s programme for the CTA Roadshow has changed. So the roadshow events are for you if:

    1. You are an employee, trustee or volunteer in a hands-on role in within a charity or community group that delivers transport or if you work for a local authority supporting community transport in your area.
    2. You would appreciate and benefit from a chance to refresh your knowledge, skills and behaviours with like-minded people.
    3. You are open to new ideas and spending a day being curious and creative.

Responding to your feedback, we’ve decided to sharpen the focus of the Roadshow to create learning and networking experiences for community transport operators and those working in local authorities that provide hands-on support to their local CTs. CTA staff will facilitate these exchanges of good practice and throw in some of our own ideas as well.

    What is Advice Line Live?

One of the practical sessions that we’re going to be running is ‘Advice Line Live’ where we answer your advice and information questions. To get input from a broad range of members, we’re asking you to submit questions ahead of time through a short survey: these will be the questions we’ll answer during the session.

To manage expectations we need to be clear that we will only be answering questions on current legislation. To lead with authority and responsibility we need to create a firewall between offering clear, accurate advice to members, which is based on the guidance we have always worked to, separate to speculation on what may or may not happen in the future.

In doing this, it enables us to demonstrate that the CTA and its members are reliable, principled and passionate partners which help to attract new support, funding and opportunities for our sector.

Even if you’re not attending a roadshow event (although we hope you are) we still want you to submit your questions so that your voice is heard at the roadshow and so that other members benefit from your input. We’ll make our answers and our advice available on the blog after each event.

You can submit your question here.
