The purpose of this role is to ensure that CTA is effectively implementing and delivering the Wales Transport Strategy within the Community Transport Sector.
The post holder will support implementation of the Wales Transport Strategy for community transport in accordance with the vision, outcomes and measures agreed by the Wales Transport Strategy Lead and Director for Wales, who have worked closely with Welsh Government to ensure the strategy has been designed to create value for the community transport network.
The Wales Transport Strategy includes a miniplan for the third sector, aiming to develop a viable third sector which meets the needs of local communities and delivers wider social, economic, environmental and cultural benefits. CTA will support the development and delivery of this strategy for community transport and the wider third sector, helping to grow the range of services including shared-mode alternatives such as car clubs, supporting decarbonisation, and better integrating third sector services into wider transport policy, planning and provision
The work of this post is delivered through a grant-funded programme for an initial 10-month fixed term, with potential for extension dependant on funding.
