The North West, North East and Yorkshire and the Humber

 

Some facts about the North

  • This area is covered by the Sub National Transport Body Transport for the North 
  • There is a combined population of 15.5 million people in this area.  Northerners comprise 28% of the English population and 24% of the UK population
  • 23% of all CTA members operate in this area.
  • The North East has the lowest proportion of CTA members 

The North West

In the North West we are focusing on creating a comprehensive case study evidence base for the various types of health transport within Community Transport (CT).

Overall, our focus is on enhancing the effectiveness of Community Transport in supporting health services, building on existing relationships, and addressing emerging challenges in patient transport.

 

The North East 

In the North East we are focusing on reviewing the funding available to the sector in the North East.  

 

Yorkshire and the Humber 

In Yorkshire and the Humber we are focusing on working with the different sub regions. 

Yorkshire has been split into 3 regions based on the significantly large geography and widely differential interests. 

North Yorkshire

Key focus is on, road maintenance and engagement with the Mayor.

 

East Yorkshire

In East Yorkshire for focus is on exploring health. 

 

West and South Yorkshire 

The focus for this area is to create detailed Health Mapping.
