It is our mission to lead a thriving community transport movement in England.

We have over 900 members delivering a diversity of transport projects and services, from community-owned buses and car clubs to Dial-a-Ride and active travel, which are at the very heart of urban, rural communities across England.

Team England is here to help you, our sector and our partners with advice, advocacy, consultancy, information, research, resources and support:

Caroline Whitney, Director for England, [email protected]

Chanelle Dwyer, National Development Manager, [email protected]

Nick Mills, Research and Insight Manager, [email protected]

Sean Ray, Development Officer – North and West Midlands, [email protected]

We are currently recruiting 2 new Development Officers who will be supporting CTA Members and stakeholders in our other regions. Find out more and apply here.

We enable regulatory and legislative compliance, promote innovation and best practice, provide grassroots development support and deliver high-quality training. We work on national local, regional and devolved policy issues. We work in partnership with the Department for Transport, Sub-National Transport bodies, NHS England, Mayoral regions, Local Transport Authorities, Local Authorities, Town and Parish Councils, Integrated Care Boards and universities.

We build alliances and collaborations with those who share our values of accessibility, inclusion and sustainability and our belief that everyone in Wales, no matter who they are or where they live, should have access to local transport which meets their needs.

CTA in England is a member of NCVO, the Rural Services Network.

We currently direct our policy and research work through our conneCTing England programme.

The CTA conneCTing programme aims to bring together community transport (CT) within England to work collectively and collaboratively with partners on the topics and issues that are important to them.

Through the regional forums and cross sector collaboration, CTA hopes to promote better understanding and communication between CT stakeholders in England and to develop practical solutions to the challenges faced by community transport.

We are working on the 12 priorities as laid out by our England Forum and the individual needs of each regional forum.

View more information on the conneCTing programme and find your regional forum.
