It is our mission to lead a thriving Community Transport movement in Scotland.

We have over 180 members delivering a diversity of transport projects and services, from community-owned buses and car clubs to Dial-a-Ride and active travel, which are at the very heart of urban, rural and island communities from Edinburgh to Na h-Eileanan an Iar. You can find them all on our Map of Community Transport in Scotland here.

Team Scotland is here to help you, our sector and our partners with advice, advocacy, consultancy, information, research, resources and support:

•    David Kelly, Director for Scotland [email protected]
•    Nicola Mitchell, Development Officer for Scotland [email protected]
•    Lara Henderson, Development Officer for Scotland [email protected]

We enable regulatory and legislative compliance, promote innovation and best practice, provide grassroots development support and deliver high-quality training. We work on local, regional and devolved policy issues. We work in partnership with the Scottish Government, Transport Scotland, NHS Boards, regional transport partnerships and local authorities.

We build alliances and collaborations with those who share our values of accessibility, inclusion and sustainability and our belief that everyone in Scotland, no matter who they are or where they live, should have access to local transport which meets their needs.

CTA in Scotland is a member of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), Transform Scotland, Stop Climate Chaos Scotland and Social Enterprise Scotland. We sit on numerous advisory groups and committees, such as the MaaS Investment Fund Working Group and the National Transport Accessibility Steering Group. We are part of the Scottish Parliament’s Cross Party Groups on Disability, Sustainable Transport, Poverty, Social Enterprise and Volunteering.

We currently have four areas of focus in Scotland:
