Addressing National Priorities Across England
Some challenges require a coordinated, national approach. To tackle these, we will assemble sector representatives from across England up to three times a year. These gatherings will provide a platform to discuss key issues, collaborate on solutions, and oversee regional activities.
In 2023, the sector identified 12 national priorities. While some action may be taken on all of them it was agreed that the initial focus will be on the following key areas:
- Securing funding for the sector
- Recruiting and retaining volunteers
- Promoting CT on a wide scale to the public and stakeholders
- Influencing legislation and regulations
The CTA Manifesto focuses on 5 key areas, with 9 of England's national priorities directly supporting the delivery of these 5 priorities. The remaining 3 priorities are cross-cutting, providing general evidence and insights across all areas.
