About this session

What do you only learn once you're doing the job? In this session, community transport managers and coordinators will share their experiences of entering the sector, reflecting on what surprised them, the challenges they faced, what they wish they'd known from the outset, and the lessons they've learned along the way. 

Bringing together both a new and more experienced perspective, we'll explore the realities of roles in CT, the knowledge that can only be gained through experience and the practical advice they'd pass on to others. We'll also discuss the importance of documenting processes, sharing knowledge and supporting smooth staff transitions, helping organisations retain valuable expertise when people move on.

This session is ideal for CTA members who are new and aspiring community transport coordinators and managers, as well as anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of what it's really like to run and manage a community transport service.
