CTA Wales: Transport Equity - Accessible Transport for All

CTA and Bus Users UK are delighted to invite you to save the date for a parliamentary reception entitled Transport Equity: Accessible Transport for All, on Wednesday 23 September 2026 at the Pierhead Main Hall, Pierhead, Cardiff Bay, from 12:00 to 13:30.

Register now

We believe everyone should be able to access transport that meets their needs.

Our event will showcase some of the best practice happening across the Welsh transport network that enables equitable access to opportunities across the country. This will focus closely on the needs of a wide range of passengers, including disabled people, older people, people with learning disabilities, people living in poverty, and people living in deeply rural Wales, all of whom experience significant barriers to using the mainstream transport network.

With support from our panel of expert speakers, we will highlight the innovative delivery and creative support that is possible, and the difference that provision makes to people who are the furthest from opportunity, while also strengthening the network for people who already use public transport. We will explore the importance of inclusive transport in delivering a wellbeing economy, as well as practical solutions which are opening up opportunities for people to live, learn, work and age well across the country.

Sponsored by Peredur Owen Griffiths MS and supported by Mark Hooper MS, Deputy Minister for Transport, we hope to welcome Senedd Members and their staff, partners, transport operators, and anyone with an interest in a more equitable transport system. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Mae’n bleser gan CTA a Bus Users UK eich gwahodd i roi dyddiad yn eich dyddiadur ar gyfer derbyniad seneddol o’r enw Tegwch Trafnidiaeth: Trafnidiaeth Hygyrch i Bawb, ddydd Mercher 23 Medi 2026, ym Mhrif Neuadd y Pierhead, Pierhead, Bae Caerdydd, rhwng 12:00 a 13:30.

Cofrestrwch nawr

Rydyn ni’n credu y dylai pawb allu cael gafael ar drafnidiaeth sy’n bodloni eu hanghenion.

Bydd ein digwyddiad yn arddangos rhai o’r arferion gorau sy’n digwydd ar draws rhwydwaith trafnidiaeth Cymru sy’n galluogi mynediad teg at gyfleoedd ledled y wlad. Bydd hyn yn canolbwyntio’n agos ar anghenion amrywiaeth eang o deithwyr, gan gynnwys pobl anabl, pobl hŷn, pobl ag anableddau dysgu, pobl sy’n byw mewn tlodi, a phobl sy’n byw yng nghefn gwlad Cymru, pob un ohonynt yn wynebu rhwystrau sylweddol rhag defnyddio’r rhwydwaith trafnidiaeth prif ffrwd.

Gyda chefnogaeth ein panel o siaradwyr arbenigol, byddwn yn tynnu sylw at y ddarpariaeth arloesol a’r cymorth creadigol sy’n bosibl, a’r gwahaniaeth y mae’r ddarpariaeth yn ei wneud i bobl sydd bellaf oddi wrth gyfleoedd, gan gryfhau’r rhwydwaith ar gyfer pobl sydd eisoes yn defnyddio trafnidiaeth gyhoeddus ar yr un pryd. Byddwn yn edrych ar bwysigrwydd trafnidiaeth gynhwysol o ran darparu economi llesiant, yn ogystal ag atebion ymarferol sy’n cynnig cyfleoedd i bobl fyw, dysgu, gweithio a heneiddio’n dda ledled y wlad.

Wedi’i noddi gan Peredur Owen Griffiths AS a’i gefnogi gan Mark Hooper AS, y Dirprwy Weinidog dros Drafnidiaeth, rydyn ni’n gobeithio croesawu Aelodau’r Senedd a’u staff, eu partneriaid, gweithredwyr trafnidiaeth, ac unrhyw un sydd â diddordeb mewn system drafnidiaeth decach. Os oes gennych chi unrhyw gwestiynau, mae croeso i chi gysylltu â ni.
