This year, from 13th to 17th October 2025, we're inviting communities across the UK will come together for CTWeek25 - a vibrant celebration of the extraordinary work happening in community transport.
This year's theme, 'More Than a Minibus', captures something vital: community transport is about people as much as it is about vehicles. It’s the volunteer driver who knows a passenger’s preferences, the coordinator who makes challenging journeys possible, and the passengers who value the journey as much as the destination. It supports independence, builds friendships and strengthens communities.
Our sector is so much more than just one type of vehicle. From bikes and mopeds to cars, Community Transport truly is More Than a Minibus in every way.
CTWeek25 celebrates all of this - the innovation, the dedication, and the simple but profound truth that when we help people move, we help communities thrive.
How can my Community Transport Organisation (CTO) get involved?
Our main ask is simple: invite a local politician to visit your CTO during CTWeek25. But beyond that, we've compiled plenty of other ideas for celebrating - the beauty of CTWeek25 is that you can mark it in whatever way suits your CTO best. Whether it's hosting that political visit, organising a small appreciation event, or planning something bigger, we're here to support you every step of the way! Simply reach out to your Development Officer or drop our communications team a line at comms@ctauk.org.
Our main ask: Invite a local politician to visit your CTO
This year, we're encouraging every CTO to open their doors to a local policymaker during CTWeek25. Why? Because there's nothing quite like seeing community transport in action to help politicians truly grasp what you do and why it matters so much.
We've got your back with everything you need:

Get your CTO in the Press
CTWeek is an excellent opportunity to get local, regional, or even national press attention for the impact your CTO has in your community.
We've created a press release template to help you get started - just customise it with your specific details and send it out:

CTWeek is all about celebrating Community Transport in whatever way works for you. Even if you just share one highlight - a great day out, a new vehicle, or a proud achievement - that’s more than enough to take part. And if this year isn’t the right time, that’s fine too.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more suggestions for ways you can get involved in CTWeek25. Ensure you’re following us on X, Facebook and LinkedIn and sign up to our mailing list so you don’t miss out!
