Community Building Session: How to Tell your Story

Book Now

Do you sometimes find it hard to demonstrate the importance of your work?

Are you looking for ways to get funders, partners, councils and health boards to take you seriously?

Or perhaps you need to provide evidence of the difference you already make in your community?

Our November Community Building Session is designed to tackle these questions and more, looking at how you can use storytelling and data to show the impact and importance of the work you do with and for your community. In this online session, we’ll be exploring some of the tools and techniques you could be using to make more impact, without needing you to do more work.

Together, we will explore:

  • Whose story? And how do we tell it?

  • Why storytelling matters – to funders, partners, stakeholders, and your passengers, staff and volunteers

  • How stories and data can work together

  • Simple tools and techniques you can use

In a challenging time of spiralling costs and huge demand, it can be hard to stand out as a voluntary sector organisation when so many people need help. You deserve to be heard, and it’s essential that your stories – and the stories of the people and communities who rely on your support – stand out to decision makers and budget holders.

Join us for this interactive session where we will share our ideas, experience, and suggestions, and bring along any ideas or questions you may have, as well as examples of your own best practice to share with other CTA members around the country.
