We believe that everyone, no matter who they are or where they live, should have access to local transport which meets their needs.
We fight for this every day by gathering evidence, engaging with politicians and conducting research which can change lives through policy, regulation and legislation.
As leaders of a thriving Community Transport movement in every nation and region of the UK, we want to be a credible, influential and strong voice for our sector. We champion the voices and views of our members, as well as the passengers they serve, the staff and volunteers they rely on and the communities they love.
We work with governments and parliaments in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast as a ‘critical friend’ to ensure Community Transport and the interests of our members are at the heart of their policies, strategies and investments.
We work with funders, decisionmakers and stakeholders at the UK, national, regional and local level to ensure they understand and recognise the social, economic and environmental value of Community Transport. We work with our friends, partners and allies to build coalitions and campaigns for change. We work with our members to respond to calls for evidence, consultations and inquiries and to produce high-quality research publications.
