Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) has been awarded £4 million through the Transport to Employment Fund, part of Scotland’s Child Poverty Action Plan.
SPT is inviting proposals from Community Transport operators and community groups across the SPT area for services and projects that help low-income families overcome transport barriers to employment.
Join this special Meet the Funder session to:
- Learn more about the funding opportunity
- Understand the fund’s criteria and objectives
- Find out how to submit a strong proposal
- Ask questions directly to SPT
Funding could support initiatives that reduce transport costs, such as discounted travel, or improve access to employment through new or enhanced transport services.
Proposals should help low-income parents access employment, training, education or employability support. They could also provide wider support that helps parents enter or remain in work, such as transport that makes childcare or after-school care more accessible.
Applications can cover new activities or extensions and improvements to existing services. Funding is currently available until the end of March 2027.
The SPT area covers:
- Glasgow
- Inverclyde
- North, East and South Ayrshire
- North and South Lanarkshire
- East and West Dunbartonshire
- Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire
- Helensburgh and Lomond
