Local Transport Authorities and Combined Authorities are being given more power than ever to shape bus services in their areas through franchising, Enhanced Partnerships and new Local Transport Plans.
For community transport to be part of that picture, rather than an afterthought, operators and CTA need to know how to get in the room, what to say once they’re there and how to maintain their influence over time.
This session builds directly on the latest Local Transport Plan guidance and CTA’s new guide for local authorities on engaging with the community transport sector. It brings together perspectives from a Local Transport Authority, a Combined Authority and a CTA member with a strong track record of local influence to give a practical and honest picture of what works.
By the end of the session, you will:
