    • Take the Survey: How is the Cost-of-Living Crisis Affecting Your Organisation?

It’s no news that charities, community groups and voluntary organisations are also severely impacted by the cost-of-living crisis and energy costs. Unfortunately, there is almost no data available to back this up. You can help change that.

Nottingham Trent University’s National VCSE Data and Insights Observatory is running a survey to assess the impact of rising energy costs on charities and the voluntary sector. The first Barometer completed had over 750 responses in total and the survey’s findings made national news headlines, including a report on the BBC’s News at Ten.

We have a unique opportunity to increase awareness of this impact on Community Transport and the need for government’s support. Click the survey here to take part and help inform government, media, and many others, of the pressures that charities, community groups and voluntary organisations are facing across areas such as income, people, demand and impact.

This survey is backed by all the major membership organisations in the social sector, and the findings will be fed straight into government as it makes decisions about which sectors will get support with their energy costs.

By completing this survey, you can ensure that what’s happening with your organisation is heard. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. If you’re unsure on any answer, please do seek input from your colleagues if you have them, and if you’re not the right person to fill it in at your organisation, please do ensure someone else fills it in by Monday 20 February.

If you do not know an answer, they ask that you give your best approximation, though do please try and request that information from colleagues so they can build as clear a picture as possible of the state of the sector.
