Big Questions, Big Ideas: How has coronavirus affected how we serve and involve passengers in a safe and caring way?

Accessibility, safety and care for people with additional needs are at the very heart of community transport. As we begin to re-start services and welcome people back on board, our panel of speakers will be looking at how to support passengers with additional needs in a way that prioritises their safety and the safety of staff and volunteers.

The session will also be looking at the importance of making sure that passengers who have additional needs are involved in making the decisions that affect them. This event is a webinar, so bring your lunch, listen to some interesting discussions and get involved by submitting questions and talking to other community transport providers in Zoom’s chat function. If you want to submit any questions for our panel ahead of the event, you can email events@ctauk.org (make sure to mention the name of the event in the subject line).

Date: 15 October | 12:30 – 13:15

Is there a limit to how many people can attend this event?

No – our Big Questions, Big Ideas events don’t have a maximum capacity and are open to CTA members and supporters of community transport; feel free to book on as many people as you’d like!

What medium will the event be taking place in and  how will I be able to join?

This is an online event, so you’ll be joining us on Zoom. After you’ve booked your place, we’ll send you a meeting invitation link a few days before the event along with all the details you’ll need to join.

Will I be visible on screen?

No – our Big Questions, Big Ideas events are webinars, so you’ll be able to see and hear our panel of speakers, but you won’t be visible or audible.  The only exception to this is if you’re selected to ask a question – in that instance, you’ll be temporarily audible to all participants whilst you ask your question.

Yes – we’ll be making a recording and recap of each event available afterwards, including any slides used by presenters or facilitators.
