The Community Transport Association facilitates a range of driver training courses. For more information on each course, including how to organise training and how to become a trainer, click the links below.
You can also order training resources online, which you can do here.
Covid-19
Now that many of the Covid-19 restrictions have been removed, it is important that you have an up to date risk assessment in place before delivering training.
You can find our most recent Covid-19 guidance here.
For all training, we also recommend:
- Maintaining ventilation in classrooms and vehicles.
- Ensuring thorough cleaning of classrooms, vehicles and equipment before and after use.
- Where it is not mandatory for face coverings to be worn or social distancing to be followed, we encourage you to discuss what the preferences of others on the course are.
We know that some trainers have been delivering theory training virtually throughout the pandemic. This is still acceptable, however, a practical assessment must be completed before a certificate is issued. Any online delivery must be completed ‘live’ by a trainer.
If you have concerns about any training that you have received, you can tell us about it here.
