    We’re excited to be recruiting for our new Director for Scotland. At CTA we have around 150 members in Scotland and we’re looking for an inspirational leader on the ground supporting the success and sustainability of community transport here.

    The post holder will lead the development and delivery of CTA’s research, policy and public affairs work in Scotland. They will make sure our policy is designed to create value for our members and further their aims. The role will innovate and seek creative transport solutions and policy options that will be fit for the specific context in Scotland but must also be aligned to wider UK policy work and developments across all of the devolved countries. If you like the sound of this challenge and have the qualities and potential to rise to it, then we’d love to hear from you!

    Location is flexible with an expectation that a reasonable amount of time will be spent in Edinburgh with travel to our other offices and locations across the UK.

    Jobs in the Community Transport Sector:

    Vacancy – Transport Manager, Torfaen Community Transport, Cwmbran

    Transport Manager required with experience and organisational skills to run all aspects of a small Community Transport charitable scheme providing a service for with people with health and mobility challenges. The transport manager reports to the Board of Trustees.

    We are looking for someone to operate fleet of accessible vehicles and manage staff and staff rosters. Responsibilities also include Managing Finances, Health and Safety Policy, staff training, liaising with outside bodies and running a small Shopmobility scheme and shop based in Cwmbran.

    Essential criteria for the role include: full UK driving license with min D1 entitlement (some minibus driving may be required); Competent IT skills including Excel and Word; Experience of Fleet management and managing people in a similar operational environment; ability to work on own initiative.

    35 hours week. Salary £31k pa.
