Lanarkshire Community Transport Network Meeting: February 2025

CTA members in the Lanarkshire region are invited to join us at Blantyre Volunteer Group on Tuesday 18th February from 2pm - 3:30pm for the first Lanarkshire Community Transport Network meeting of the new year. West of Scotland Rural Transport Workshop with Stantec

Stantec have been tasked by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) to develop an action plan for improving transport for the West of Scotland’s rural, remote and island communities. 

Their ongoing appraisal has identified the potential of Community Transport to be at the heart of a future network, helping to better connect the region’s hamlets, villages, towns and cities as part of a ‘hub and spoke’ model.

This workshop is an important opportunity to inform their work and be part of Community Transport’s changing role in the West of Scotland.

Community Transport Manager

Annandale Community Transport Services is looking for a new manager to run services.

The right candidate will: 

  • Ensure the efficient operational management of the organisation. 
  • Foster a positive ethos within the organisation. 
  • Operate within budgetary restraints.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation and reports are completed in accordance with the requirements of the Board.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and Charity Law.
  • Support a team of volunteers
