Fill in our COVID-19 survey and help us tell your story.
Over the course of the coronavirus pandemic, community transport providers all over the UK have done incredible work to adapt their services, making sure that they can continue to support the people who need them. From running essential journeys to delivering food and prescriptions, taking people to vaccinations and keeping in touch with isolating passengers, they’ve had an enormous impact on the lives of so many in their communities.
In 2020, we released a series of reports about the work of the sector which were well received by funders and led to many great conversations and invitations to bid for funding. We want to continue this work in 2021 – making it clear and obvious how important the community transport sector has been since the start of the pandemic.
We’re asking our members to fill in a survey looking at the work they’ve been doing over the last year and the impact it’s had.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to so many of our members who have taken the time to fill in the survey so far – the evidence gathered will enable us to demonstrate why the sector should be taken seriously and equip you with information that you can take to your local authority and to other funders to show why they should collaborate with you. For those of you who haven’t had the chance yet, we’d really value your input. The deadline for responses is 07 May.
We want our data to be as thorough as possible, so some of the questions may seem to be very detailed and we hope that you will be able to give us as much information as you can. The survey will ask detailed questions about journey numbers and changes to funding so it will be useful to have this information prepared before starting the survey.

We need your help to tell the real story of the impact and importance of community transport. Your data, stories, and insights show just how vitally important the CT sector is, and the need for integrated support and funding as a key part of the UK’s transport infrastructure.
As part of our evidence gathering, we want to understand how passengers’ confidence has been affected by lockdown. We are concerned that many may feel afraid to return to travelling once services reopen, even with the rollout of the vaccine, and that this will have significant impacts on their long-term health and wellbeing.
As such, we were hoping that you may be able to assist us in running a survey of your passengers by asking them a few short questions during your usual befriending calls. This information will help us to gauge how services will be affected and how we can adapt our service to rebuild passenger confidence.
