Headline Sponsor and Sponsor of the Community Transport Provider of the Year Award.
Q’Straint is proud to be the headline sponsor of CT’19 along with sponsoring the Community Transport Provider of the Year award. We are excited to take part in this two-day event that offers great opportunities to celebrate colleagues from across the sector who share a common goal of making safety accessible for all passengers. At Q’STRAINT, we believe all mobility passengers deserve access to the same level of safety as those around them. In our work with transport providers and community transport, we are fortunate to hear stories everyday about these successes from local communities. CT’19 and the Community Transport Provider of the Year Award are an excellent way to celebrate these successes in accessibility.
Q’Straint Senior Sales Manager for the U.K., Keri Whaley, is honoured to be on the judging panel for the CT’19 Awards. “What an incredible day I had reading through the entry forms, reading the sterling examples of what Community Transport providers offer passengers,” said Keri. “Not only that, hearing the voices of the very proud and selfless facilitators was rather emotional at times”.
Visit our stand at CT’19 to see our range of wheelchair restraint systems, including our heavy-duty retractors which secure wheelchairs up to 200kg. These retractors are an excellent addition to vehicles where wheelchair weights are unknown, adding that critical element of duty of care to journeys. On day two of the event we will be delivering a workshop on ‘The Latest Practice in Accessibility’. During this workshop we will discuss the correct way to secure a wheelchair, duty of care, the range of options available on the market, and will finish with a wheelchair securement activity. We can’t wait to see you at CT’19!

Thames Valley Operators is a Community Interest Company set up by three Community Transport charities in the Thames Valley area. Back in 2003 we were looking for software to support our own CT operations and, being unable to find a suitable commercial solution, decided to write our own. The result was CATSS which we found so useful that we formed TVO to make it available to other CT organisations.
Having hands-on experience of our own software every day as we run our urban and rural services, we think it’s the little things, based on our inside knowledge and empathy, that make the difference. Today our expertise is shared successfully with numerous community transport operators throughout the UK.As a Community Interest Company any surplus we make through the development of CATSS software is re-invested directly back into the services provided for our communities by the three founding organisations.
Courtside Conversions have worked with Community Transport groups from all over the UK for over 20 years and are so honoured to be able to supply and work alongside so many wonderful organisations doing such a fantastic job in so many communities.
We are very glad to be supporting the Serving Rural Communities Award as well as being an Exhibition Sponsor. We see the social value that providing a vehicle to communities can bring, from battling isolation and loneliness, to providing access to health and social care services. We chose to sponsor the Serving Rural Communities award as being based in the South West in Devon, rural seclusion and isolation is very common and we see first-hand how community transport offers a lifeline to those that cannot access public transport.
We realise that organisations have different transport requirements and we are one of just a few converters that can offer a totally bespoke conversion specification. To reinforce our commitment to Community Transport groups, we are a Corporate Supporter working in partnership with the Community Transport Association and are able to provide advice and support to all CTA members. We have a small friendly sales team who are available to help with any requirement you might have. We have worked alongside the CTA on a number of projects and most recently supplied a number of vehicles to organisations as part of the ‘Community Minibus Fund’ and hope to help with ‘Connecting Communities in Wales’ which will be delivered through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme. We hope that everybody thoroughly enjoys the CT19 Show, we look forward to seeing some familiar faces and hopefully meeting lots of new people too. Come and say hi to us on the Courtside Conversions stand.
