Celebrating Two Years of Supporting Community Transport Together

For the past two years, the Community Transport Association (CTA), Business Choice Direct (BCD) and WRS Insurance Brokers (WRS) have been working together with one shared goal: helping community transport organisations access specialist insurance and expert support they can rely on.

Since the partnership began, BCD and WRS have had the privilege of supporting CTA members across the UK, providing specialist insurance solutions that reflect the unique challenges of the community transport sector. More importantly, building strong relationships with the organisations that keep people connected in their communities every day.

A partnership built around CTA members

As CTA's trusted insurance partners, BCD and WRS each provide specialist expertise.

Business Choice Direct supports members with vehicle insurance, including minibus insurance, fleet insurance and car club insurance. With more than 20 years' experience in transport and logistics, the team understands the day-to-day demands of community transport operators and works to find practical, competitive insurance solutions.

WRS Insurance Brokers provides specialist charity insurance for organisations, with cover extending beyond their vehicles from public liability, employers' liability, trustee indemnity, cyber insurance and other essential protections. Alongside insurance, WRS also offers guidance on charity risk management and  access to additional fundraising support.

Working together means CTA members benefit from specialist advice across all of their insurance needs, with one joined-up approach and teams who genuinely understand the sector.

Looking back on two successful years

Over the last two years, the partnership has gone from strength to strength.

They have welcomed new organisations, met members at CTA events across the UK, introduced exclusive member benefits including MiDAS discounts and D1 driver support, and helped community transport providers navigate an increasingly challenging insurance market.

One example is the work with Coalfield Community Transport, where BCD and WRS worked together to simplify the insurance process, provide access to specialist markets and deliver a more responsive, collaborative service. Stories like this demonstrate the value of having insurance partners who understand both the operational and financial pressures facing community transport organisations.

As Tristan Scaife, Commercial Director at Business Choice Direct, explains:

"We've insured many members, met lots of fantastic people and achieved so much together. We see ourselves as your voice in the insurance market, and we're excited about what's still to come."

Gungor Baykan, Head of Broking and Operations at WRS Insurance Brokers, added:

"We've built a strong partnership based on trust, collaboration and a shared commitment to delivering great outcomes for CTA members. We look forward to helping even more organisations in the years ahead."

Looking Ahead

While we're proud of what we've achieved together, we're even more excited about what's next.

Plans are already underway to develop even more exclusive benefits for CTA members, including closer collaboration with insurers to shape insurance solutions specifically for the community transport sector. They will continue attending CTA events, listening to members, understanding the challenges you face and ensuring your voice is heard within the insurance market.

As part of the Benefact Group, BCD and WRS also remain committed to supporting charities beyond insurance. Through initiatives such as Movement for Good, they are proud to be part of an organisation that gives all available profits to charitable causes and helps organisations like yours continue making a difference.

Thank you

To every CTA member who has worked with Business Choice Direct and WRS Insurance Brokers over the past two years, thank you for being part of this journey.

The partnership has achieved so much already, and there is even more to look forward to. Together with the CTA, BCD and WRS remain committed to supporting community transport organisations with specialist insurance, trusted advice and solutions that help keep vital services moving.

Here's to many more years of working together to support the organisations that keep communities connected.
