Motability Foundation Community Transport Grants Scheme reopens

Motability Foundation Reopens Community Transport Grants

There are 16 million disabled people in the UK, making up more than one-fifth of the population. However, disabled people often struggle to make journeys due to a lack of accessible transport options. The Community Transport (CT) sector provides inclusive and affordable travel options, supporting disabled people to make essential journeys.

The costs of providing services are rising, and competition for grant funding is fierce, so the news that the Motability Foundation has reopened its CT grant programme is very welcome. Between April and March 2025, the Foundation awarded a total of £14m to 33 successful applicants.
