It might not be December yet, but here at the CTA, we’re already thinking about Christmas! 

It’s easy to look at the Christmas adverts starting to appear on the TV, at the lights that are turning on and the markets that are opening up across the country, and assume that everyone is surrounded by family and friends in the run up to Christmas. But for so many people across the UK, this isn’t the case. There are those who are alone at Christmas, who don’t have anyone to celebrate with, or don’t have access to transport to get out and about.

But we know that our members are the ones who work across the Christmas period, even on Christmas day, to change this – providing those who would otherwise be alone, with family, friendship, company and independence.

As we have in previous years, we want to spend December sharing the stories of how our members ensure that no one in their community has to spend Christmas alone. 

Whether its a specific person or group that you’ve helped, something you’ve done in the past, something you’re doing this year or something you do every year, we know you have a story to tell!
