At the Community Transport Association, we’re proud to represent over 1600 members who operate across the United Kingdom. Our members are so diverse and vary in size and history, but in essence they all do the same thing: keep Britain moving.

Our members are the people who, whatever the weather, make transport accessible and inclusive which, in turn, makes the places where people live, learn, work, participate and belong, accessible and inclusive too.

We are delighted to announce that a number of our members will be receiving an invitation to attend an event at No.10 Downing Street to be thanked for the hard work and dedication they give every day to “Keep Britain Moving”: the focus of this reception.

We are only sorry that we can’t bring all of our members with us, but we’ve ensured that there is a good mix of members, from small to large operators and from across the United Kingdom. Although we can’t all attend, we’ll be posting images of the visit and asking those attendees to come to our annual Westminster Conference on 22 November to share their stories.

As the Community Transport Association turns 30 this year, our vision has never been more important to us.

We work for a world where people can shape and create their own transport solutions, placing accessibility and inclusivity centre stage. Between now and 2020 we are planning to fulfil our mission and realise our vision through three strategic priorities:

    • Championing accessible and inclusive transport.
    • Connecting people and ideas.
    • Strengthening our members and raising standards.

We’d like to thank the Prime Minister and our colleagues at the Department for Transport for the opportunity to take community transport to Downing Street and we’ll make sure to keep you updated on this exciting event.
