You cannot fail to have noticed the growing buzz around Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) in the UK. The number of politicians, journalists and investors talking up the new technology is only increasing, while firms and transport authorities are launching new tests and trials with great fanfare.

Connect and Learn: Dementia in Transport

Connect and Learn – small changes means, life changing impact.

Community Transport Association were delighted to launch our new Connect and Learn sessions (previously known as Community Building Sessions) for members, with our first session on supporting people living with dementia to travel well.

The aim of these sessions is to bring together our members, the CTA team and wider partners to look at and discuss topics that are important to the way we operate, the way we support passengers and the way we enable each other to learn and share.

Policy and Campaigns Officer

We are looking for a Policy and Campaigns Officer to join the Community Transport Association (CTA). 

This is an exciting new role, created to strengthen CTA’s voice as a credible, effective and influential advocate for community transport across the UK. Working closely with our Head of Policy & Campaigns and colleagues across the organisation, you will help develop policy positions, produce clear and authoritative briefings, coordinate campaign activity and build relationships that help influence change.

After careful deliberation from our wonderful panel of judges, we're proud to announce the shortlist for the CT26 Awards Night - a celebration of the extraordinary people, organisations, and partnerships keeping communities connected across the UK.

This year's event is extra special. As we mark 40 years of CTA, we're bringing the community transport sector together for an unforgettable evening at The Midland Hotel, Manchester, on 4 June 2026

RoSPA awards course assurance to MiDAS

The Community Transport Association is delighted to announce that the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has recently awarded course assurance to the CTA’s Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS). RoSPA’s course assurance programme independently reviews training to confirm it meets recognised standards for course design, trainer competence, and delivery. MiDAS Standard and MiDAS Accessible have now been assessed through this process and awarded RoSPA Course Assured status.
