Nominations are now open for the CTA 2023 Awards!

CTA is delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the 2023 Community Transport Awards!

This prestigious recognition will celebrate and highlight the remarkable contributions of outstanding organisations and individuals that have made a significant impact in the CT sector.

Whether it’s a dedicated volunteer driver, an innovative transport project, or a pioneering community organization, we encourage everyone to nominate deserving candidates who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and dedication to enhancing transportation services for all.

Here are the Award Categories:

1. CT Provider of the Year (Small CT)— A Community Transport provider with less than 5 vehicles that has delivered overall excellence in providing accessible and inclusive transport.
2. CT Provider of the Year (Large CT)— A Community Transport provider with more than 5 vehicles that has delivered overall excellence in providing accessible and inclusive transport.
3. Innovation in Volunteering – CT Organisation with the most innovative approach to recruiting and retaining volunteers.
4. Partnership of the Year— For organisations who have been working in partnership on a project or a service to benefit their community.
5. Making a difference —For an organisation that has invented new ways to make sure their passengers feel included and supported.
6. Commitment to Sustainability— For an organisation that puts sustainability at the core of its work.
7. CT Champion of the Year— For an individual (staff and/or volunteers/trustees can be nominated) at a CT organisation who has gone over and above to champion and support the work of community transport.
8. Lifetime Achievement Award/Special recognition— For an individual who has dedicated themselves to, and has had an enormous impact on, the community transport sector.
9. Award for Transport/Local Authorities – This is for a local authority that has been supportive and advocative of Community Transport causes in their region. This will be decided by members.
10. The Photo Competition is for a photograph that captures the essence of community transport’s work, beyond just getting elderly and disabled people from point A to B. We want to see an action photo that shows the nuanced narratives, like transportation for children and young people (including young volunteers), the diversity in the CT sector, innovation, commitment to climate action and CT’s responsiveness to inclusive and accessible transport.

To submit a nomination, you will need to:

1. Read the Entry Requirements and Awards Criteria for detailed information on the rules of entry and what our judges are looking for in each category.
2. Fill the nomination form for the category you’re submitting.
3. Upload supporting evidence and photos in the nomination form.

Nomination Deadline: Thursday, 31st August 2023.

The 2023 Community Transport Awards ceremony will take place along with the CT Conference on Thursday, the 23rd of November. Award nominations are open to only CTA members who fit the criteria for each award.
