Celebrating safe, legal and comfortable journeys: MiDAS & CTWeek

What is Community Transport Week?

Every year, Community Transport Week allows us to pause for a moment and celebrate the sector, and everyone involved in it! This year’s theme,“More than a Minibus,” captures something vital: community transport is about people as much as it is about vehicles. It isn’t just about getting from A to B, it’s all the in-between moments that make the journey special, and memorable for passengers. For that to happen, journeys must be safe, legal and comfortable. That’s where MiDAS comes in.

Thank you for joining us at Aintree Racecourse, home of the world-famous Grand National, to celebrate 30 years of safe, legal and comfortable journeys with MiDAS.

Community Transport Association and Hampshire County Council are delighted to welcome you for a day of insightful panel talks, presentations, and the all important awards ceremony, and to check out the exhibition stands, network and explore the vehicles we have on site.

On this page you will find today's agenda, information about our fantastic event sponsors, awards categories and more.

Training

CTA manage a national programme of quality-assured education and training for the CT sector and beyond, ensuring that organisations are able to deliver safe, legal and comfortable journeys.

Through our training, workshops and webinars we help our members enhance their skills and knowledge on transport services, regulatory frameworks, safety and customer service.

Do you want to become a MiDAS Provider?

It also allows you to deliver MiDAS to other organisations in your area. You can find out more about the steps involved with becoming a MiDAS Driver Assessor below.

Step 1 – Understand the responsibilities

In order to deliver MiDAS, your organisation must:
