The Community Transport Association is delighted to announce that the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has recently awarded course assurance to the CTA’s Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS). RoSPA’s course assurance programme independently reviews training to confirm it meets recognised standards for course design, trainer competence, and delivery. MiDAS Standard and MiDAS Accessible have now been assessed through this process and awarded RoSPA Course Assured status.

What is Community Transport Week?

Every year, Community Transport Week allows us to pause for a moment and celebrate the sector, and everyone involved in it! This year’s theme,“More than a Minibus,” captures something vital: community transport is about people as much as it is about vehicles. It isn’t just about getting from A to B, it’s all the in-between moments that make the journey special, and memorable for passengers. For that to happen, journeys must be safe, legal and comfortable. That’s where MiDAS comes in.

When it comes to transporting passengers, MiDAS is the gold standard for ensuring that drivers and passenger assistants can deliver safe, legal and comfortable journeys. Under the MiDAS umbrella, there are a number of schemes, ensuring that there is a nationally recognised standard for those with driving, care or supervision responsibilities.
